How much would it cost to run a freezer?

As some of you know I'm wanting to feed Isla on a raw diet, which of course you need a freezer for!

A friend of mine has one she no longer wants and has let me have it. However the first words out of my Dad's mouth was "And how much do you think that'll cost!"

So I'm guessing I'm going to have to pay him the electric to run it. Anyone any ideas how much it would cost to run a freezer. Found a good website, but it's in New Zealand dollars!

freezer uses 1kw every 12 hours approx, so would use about 80p - 1.50 a week depending o nsupplier.

so a pound a week on average

i know it dosent cost a lot to run im running 3 small ones and a very large one

no, just tell him don't be stingey we have a fridge freezer combination, a single fridge and a single freezer and just got another freezer...give me a fiver

The blurb for my new fridge/freezer said it would cost about £35 a year to run....and this is a gigantic thing so I doubt yours would cost that much to be honest

We've also got a fridge/freezer, a 5' tall freezer and a chest freezer, just ordered a new chest freezer though an energy efficient one A+ rated

well I think what we should have done is just got one giant fridge and one giant freezer instead of having all the smaller multiples...lol...

The house we are in had an inbuilt fridge and freezer but they are just small and a bit tits on a bore really...lol...we already had a tall fridge and frezzer combo so we kept that but then cuz the dogs raw food we needed just a lil bit more space and got the third freezer...lol

Oh I soooo wish I could! What's worse is he doesn't think there's anything wrong with wanting money to run it!

With this freezer we'll have 2 chest freezers, Isla'a freezer and a fridge/freezer!

Think I might buy myself one to sleep in!
