I was telling a friend about the problem and she recommended spreading pate or peanut butter round the top of the bath it gives the dog something to take their minds off whats happening and most will happily lick the bath clean while you get on with the task in hand.

Good idea.Mine are all getting wet today but I'll have a queue at the door like kiddies queueing at a sweetie shop!!
My biggest problem will come tomorrow when the carpet will be 2 ft deep under a snowdrift of fur!!!!!!!!!

JULIE - will give that a try but spitz are not easy to fool and I don't think even a whole rabbit would distract them from their opinion that we intended to drown them.

NIKKI - mine queue at the door because they would rather be drowned than ignored, but once they are the chosen one, well that is different.

Well mine have had theres....and are now flaked around the room.The floor is white where they have used the carpet to dry themselves and the sides of the furnitures covered too where they've rubbed up against it.
I ended up looking like an contestant for a wet t shirt competition and the bathroom will take weeks to dry out!!!
