Ava's Days!

Been a hectic few weeks for Ava, our 6yr old Golden Retriever, she was in whelp to a very handsome chap - then on Thursday 2nd August the Pups started to arrive.
7 pups arrived at Home within 4 hours.............then a hiccup, had to rush Ava to the Vet, she had a c.section(had her spayed too) 2 pups were still inside her but didn't make it, she took a while to recover & stayed in the Vets overnight, whilst I fed the Pups! Ava came home, but 2 of the pups died that day, Saturday.................
Ava had a check up at the Vet yesterday & all is well.
Still early days but here is Mum Ava & surviving pups!

So pleased to see that Ava and pups are now doing well - they are so very weeny aren't they.

Well done - bet you are exhausted esp. having to feed the pups without Ava there.

I am so pleased to see that Ava and her remaining puppies are doing so well now.

Well Pups are now a week old and gaining weight - When born they weighed between 8 ozs - 12ozs Now they weigh between 1lb 8ozs - 2lb
Ava has just had a check up at the Vet & she is well, apart from a nasty ear infection, bless her.
