Harriet, female Dogue de Bordeaux X Boxer, DOB 07.12 - Carshalton

Harriet, Dogue de Bordeaux X Boxer, DOB 07.12 - Carshalton

Homing Requirements: Harriet happily lives with respectful young children and can live with another dog(s) and cats. She needs retention on the lead until she has undergone a training course to ensure she can handle off lead encounters and recall. Harriet could be homed in with a part-time worker. She needs an experienced dog owner so she is not left to bring it all through herself.

Her Story: Harriet grew up with 2 Staffies and 3 cats. She was found stray and her chip led the dog warden back to her home but the family felt they couldn't cope with 3 dogs and asked the dog warden to re-home her. We homed her in with young children and she shared her days with the parents dog. Harriet is being returned as her owners need a dog who is off lead and although Harriet has coped well she cannot manage all dog encounters without reassurance and supervision as with young dogs learning their way. Harriet is neutered, chipped and vax'd. Still in her home in the Carlshalton area, South London.

Advert: Harriet is a supreme girl. She settles well with children, cats and other dogs company. Her only fault is she is not yet mature enough to guarantee all off lead encounters are 100 % either from the other dog's fault or perhaps her own. Managed encounters go well with support and reassurance. Harriet would benefit from a training course as with all newly homed rescue dogs where handler and she would develop rapport and a command structure. Harriet is intelligent and should do well to ensure she is invested in to bring her skills together.

Harriet is a Dogue de Bordeaux x Boxer with a velvet coat of pale orange brindle and beige stripes. She is in good health and still young; just 15 months old. She has a slightly over-shot jaw and a gorgeous scrunched up muzzle. Her eyes are amber. Harriet really is a stunner in looks and temperament.
