Tuppence - 6 year old female Patterdale

Tuppence, Patterdale, DOB 2006 - Godstone, Surrey


Homing Requirements: Tuppence needs a family who can take her slowly in formal walks and training and exposure to normal life. She will pick up house-rules but with patience and not too stringent enforcement as she realises how to please. Tuppence will learn to live within a house, understand gardens, domestic noises and her place. She needs a secure garden and front door security. Tuppence finds it hard to be left so ideally sleeping in the bedroom and gradually she will find her own space as a single dog.

Her Story: Tuppence lived in a kennel with her mother and father up until recently. Her owner had brain surgery and only would take back her dad. Tuppence and her mother had a fight in the boarding kennels. Her mother was 14 years old and was rehomed. Tuppence was going to lose her life, we stepped forwards to help her. Tuppence is neutered and vax'd. In kennels in Godstone, Surrey.

Advert: Tuppence is priceless but ask her opinion and she'll give you her 2 penny worth! Terrier she is, Patterdale oh yes and so what comes with her is a friendly loving terrier who tends to be at their wits end outside. Tuppence hasn't been formally walked so at 6 years old she has to understand the concept of outside shared territory and relaxing with dogs that approach which she is doing wonderfully.

Tuppence is a 5-6 year old smooth-haired black Fell Terrier. She has just lost her family due to her owner illness. Out of kilter in boarding kennels she is coming to terms with the road ahead and settles so well in short term fosters. We are supporting her learning and are hoping a kind family will help her and adore her as she so deserves to be.

Please note that this is dog is currently in boarding kennels and available for foster until a 'permanent' home is found.

An update from one of our walking volunteers:

"I harnessed up Tuppence to take her out this morning, but noticed that one of her front paws was a little sore. Karen at the kennels kindly bathed it for her and I took her into the paddock to have some time out of kennels. She really is a cute and adorable little pattie who deserves a forever home".
