What to do Tomorrow?

As you know Milo has been referred to a specialist tomorrow and on the form it says I am not to feed him from midnight tonight.
Problem with that is if I don't give him a little something in the morning he will be sick as he suffers excess acid in his stomach. Our appointment is not until 12.30 and he has the car journey ahead of him too.
This morning he was being sick because I was 15 mins late feeding him and I have to give him 4 small meals a day to keep his tum settled.
Do you think I could get away with just giving him a tablespoon of food about 7am tomorrow morning to stop him from being uncomfortable and poorly?

Ring them up and speak to them. However, if you give him a full meal at midnight would that make it better? When is his last feed you usually give him at night and at what time in the morning?

Try splitting his evening meal into two..give his a little at his usual time them the bulk of it at midnight as Becky says,

Also you can try him with a couple of Ginger biscuits in the morning before you go.

If his appointment is not till 12.30 you should be OK

I'd call and ask. Someone must be working there today.
Failing that, I'd probably do the split meal too, with the last at midnight.

Definately speak to your vet with regards to giving food in the morning, is he likely to have an operation or sedated for anything? If this is the case then I definately wouldn't feed after the time stated without talking to them first.

When we had ours hip scored they were nil by mouth after 8pm the previous evening, so I just gave them their evening meal as close to 8 as possible With yours I personally would give the majority of food near midnight.

His last meal is normally at 11pm anyway and his first one by 6.30 am.
I will try and ring them today although got the impression they were not available today.
