Well, I put "once a week" but I didn't see "as and when" which would have probably been more apt, because I wash the Chis bedding every day. All of it!!!! Mind you, it only takes two washes and tumbles. It's worth it to have nice fresh-smelling doggy beds and blankies

Haha! We must be boggin', then. I put as and when....as I only wash it when it needs it. Funnily enough, the house or the dogs don't smell at all.

Molly has a day bed which is in my bedroom at the bottom of the bed. She sleeps in that during the day when the fancy takes her. It only gets washed when I feel it needs it, which isn't that often. It gets shaken out weekly and hoovered, though.

Roxy sleeps in her bed at night, and I would say her bedding is washed and changed every 6 weeks or so, or again, when I feel it needs it.

Molly has a blanket and a kids pillow for her head that gets put on the sofa at night for her. It gets removed in the morning and put in Roxy's bed till night time again. That only gets washed ever 6 weeks or when I feel it needs washed.

When the dogs are in the house during the day (when they aren't out in the garden or out walking, I mean), they spend most of the time on either of the beds, or the sofas, whch all have throws and these throws are washed when needed. They are shaken and hoovered weekly and washed as and when.

The dogs car covers are washed every 1-2 weeks as they can get really dirty.

I personally don't believe in over washing things when they don't need it. None of us in the house, including the dogs, have any allergies and as I said, the house doesn't smell, and neither does their bedding or the throws. If I felt they needed washing more often, then I'd do it, obviously.

When the dogs bedding, bed/sofa throws are washed, they're all washed with non-bio.

Life's too short for cleaning too much!

in this house most of the bedding is white vet bed, so after a day or two it starts to look grotty, So I lift and wash it every other day, prob more like daily when they are blowing there coat, I have loads of vet bed so its no real problem to change it every other day,

white bedding, black dogs, what was I thinking about lol,.

we have just had a bullock butchered so there are lots of bones/scrap meat,
all of which is dragged to there vet bed to be munched....ewww
its more to do with it looking dirty than being dirty.

the last time I bought for the adults I bought grey, but its almost gone,

I bought two rolls when I had the last litter of pups so had loads left I like the white vet bed for the pups
A} coz you can spot the pups and count them very easy on the white
B} if any of the pups were bleeding or whatever I would notice it right away
C} you can see the min its getting grotty and change it,.

But if Im buying for the big uns again, its gona be dark

Never . . . !!!! . . . 'never I hear you say' . . . yes never the reason being that no matter what bedding we put in Sasha's crate, she always ripped it to shreds . . . !!! So now she sleeps happily on the plastic bottom which came with her crate.
This does get hoovered and wiped when needed though.
