How Do You Know When You Are Getting Old?

I have just been trying to find some cheaper car insurance on a website about Meercats
The question "what age are you", involved a drop down thingy.
Well I had to scroll down for ages before I could find my year of birth. Yep, I'm that old

Hi
Apart from my introduction this is my first post so please excuse any mistakes while I get the hang of it!
I had a run-in today with an owner whose dog scared mine badly (usual story, only wants to play, etc.) – BUT one of the things that upset me most was the other owner called me an old b**ch. Hey, the b**ch part I can live with but OLD!!!!!! I maintain that at 45 I’m not even middle-aged yet as I’m planning on living to 102! I’m guessing that the fact that inside my head has stuck my age at around 24 isn’t translating too well on the outside!

Do you know - old used not to be an insult. When did that change?

I started to think seriously when I was in hospital - it's when all the nurses know how to work your iPod, but don't know any of the music on it
