It doesn't matter if the OP comes back or not, there is always people looking for advice but won't post, they search through the threads looking for information. Our posts help a lot more than we think.

True but one thing I do notice is if newcomers revive a very old thread they are sort of 'told off' for doing so. But it's easy to do inadvertently because I remember when I first signed up it suggests related threads for your question at the bottom of the screen. And some of them are years and years old. As are some of the Dogsey Google results returned for general dog related questions. You see your 'problem' click on that and it takes you to an ancient thread.

I don't really have a problem with that. Answers to some problems don't change. You can tell by some posts to an old thread that people just don't notice the DATE. Because they will jump in with an answer to a question asked years ago by an OP who never returned.

Yes there are lots, think they use the site like NHS Direct just looking for help as they need it, I don't mind this but sometimes do wish we knew whether the dog was ok.

I don't think that people are told off for raising an old thread, they may not realise it was old and it is sometimes pointed out.

When I first joined the site I spent a fair amount of time looking at some older threads.

LOL! Yeah!

Now, I keep meaning to raise this question. WHY can't I go in for the steam mop comp? I have a UK address, UK bank account and paypal account. I have a UK job! I am a UK 'resident' officially and registered to pay tax in the UK.

So why can't I go in for it and have it sent to my UK address if I was lucky enough to win it!

*living in Cyprus most of the year doesn't stop me contributing to good causes on here and you can't say I don't contribute to this UK website content wise - most would probably be ecstatic if I didn't post so much lol!

Got is card marked, got his number, one step ahead and am well and truly on to him - even then he still surprises me sometimes!

That is very true - I've learnt a lot by reading other's posts and members' responses.
