Dog with small lums around teats - is this from her season?

Hi all

My dog is just coming to the end of her first season. Over the weekend when i was scratching her belly, i noticed she has a small lump around one of her teats, it feels as if i may be a gland. Do you think this could be caused by her hormones from her season? or should i just take her straight to the vets.

Any comments would really be appreciated.

thanks

Does it fell hot? If you are worried a quick check from the vet, without seeing it it would be difficult for us to comment. Teats do become swollen especially if they start to have a phantom pregnancy.

if your girl is just comming to the end of her season then its unlikely to be signs of a phantom that normally comes later i would just get the vet to give her a check over to be on the safe side its probably just hormoanal

I would get it checked out asap, it could be mammory tumours.

I dont mean to worry you, just best to be on the safe side.

Hi All

Just to let you know I took Tilly to the vets this morning and i am happy to say that the lumps are just hormonal and will go down over the next few weeks .

Thanks to all of you who offered advice, it was much appreciated.
