Zena & Georgie climbed a mountain (gsd pup)

We just climbed to the top of Cissbury Hill, all 600ft of it, although of course I managed to drive half-way up! My village nestles at the bottom of all this open countryside, I'm so, so lucky and Cissbury Hill is a very famous Sussex beauty spot, so I'm even more lucky!

Half-way up. C'mon mum there's a long way to go

I'll lead the way then

This climb goes on forever

C'mon mum keep up!

Which way now mum, straight on

Are we going through here then

I think my mum needs a rest now

Yayy we're up the top

Look at the view from up here!

Where's he going now then

Shall we go a different way back down mum, I'll lead the way

Poor Georgie's lagging behind a bit

Nearly there

That was the hardest 20 min walk I've ever done, but nobody was about, no other dogs either we had the whole place to ourselves, pure heaven! Now we're going to have a well earned sleep! Thanks for looking!

Thanks Inkliveeva I just had to make the most of this glorious sunshine we've got today, plus I had nothing else to do! Yes, she's still growing - a bit!!!!

Lol, my legs and hips are really aching after that I can tell you! The other afternoon when we did that climb, I met a woman half way up who must have been in her 70's with a gsd and two walking sticks, but she also made it to the top! I like a bit of competition!

Lol Mel, yes she's still growing, but her knees aren't so knobbly now (did Zeita have knobbly knees??). I'm so very lucky to have this in my doorstep aren't I and not a town in sight!!! Love it, love it, love it!!!

I'm glad you confirmed that for me coz I got worried about those knees! I remember my vet telling me I could take a gentle walk around the block onlead? Maybe ring your vet ....... again!!!! I'm sure tomorrow you would be allowed to, but ask first of course! Hugs to Zeita bless her.xxx

Thanks honeysmummy, it's even better in the flesh that view, especially on a day like today! If you walk across the top to the other side you get a glorious sea view, I might do that one next time though!
