Perfecting crate training......

Jinty is crate trained....... mostly.

Her crate is left open during the day, she has water, a cosy bed, some chewies and a blanket in there. She does like her crate.

When we put her in there, we say "Go crate" and she hops in. We give her a treat or a chew and she settles quickly.

THE ONLY PROBLEM is that she does the occasional whining...... I used to think it was because she needed a wee, but now have figured it is not.

Mostly, its when we are in the house, or if we've popped her in the crate (for example, when I clean out the house buns cage) for a few mins.

Because we want to take her camping, I want to perfect this now, so she doesnt resort to pining and waking everyone in the tent up!

So, Dogsey, how do I sort this out?

NOTE: I do not give any affection or even let her out while she is pining, she is only let out of the crate when calmed. I know most people recommend 'ignore' - but is there any way of speeding this along? Its been quite a while now!
