new car needed - which is dog friendly?

hi,

may have posted this in the wrong place - sorry!

i currently own a ford fiesta, 2 children, 2 irish setters and 3 cats.

PROBLEM - need a bigger car!!!!

going to look at a nissan x trail tomorrow, does anyone know what they're like - are they dog friendly.

i just so need a car with a bigger boot, i can't get both dogs in the boot of a fiesta and you should see it when its fully loaded with 2 dogs , 2 kids and me driving it - no joke i can assure you!

I'm the same now. Just got a white van too, can't fit 3 mals in an Espace anymore

The Espace was pretty good though, you can remove the extra 2 seats from the far rear for loads of room, happily housed 3 kids and 2 Mals

well i do like the whole 7 seater thing purely cos of the kids and would always have extra room if needed to get more kids in the car - but then can take extra seats out if you need the boot space, maybe thats a better option then - that way you get the best of both i guess!

I have a Toyota Hilux Surf - sits my lot (7 dogs and three teenagers) easily and comfortably - with room for more if necessary....dogs not teenagers I hasten to add!
I have a tailgate guard which allows me to have the rear window (screen) down for extra air circulation - and the drop down tailgate makes a fab place to eat lunch change wellies when out working!
hth
