Each Rescue organisation has it's own procedures regarding foster homes. Maybe you should contact one of the rescue centres directly and ask...

As for the poundie's We are completely full to the brim and with rehomings now stopped (with exception to some being checked weeks ago) it will be after Christmas before we could take any more

Fostering for the Oldies Club usually takes as long as it takes for us to organise a homecheck. If we have someone local can go round and talk to you and see your setup it can be very quick, if not it can take a while.

Fostering if you have other dogs is fine, but usually the rescue will want to be reasonably sure your dogs will get on OK with strangers coming (and think about the going too - there are dogs that get very upset when a 'friend' they have got used to leaves their home, and if you have one of those, fostering might not be right for you).

Of course your dogs will need to be fully vaccinated, and usually neutered as well.

All our foster homes are now full and we are having to turn old dogs away

I do, just in case. However, these dogs have been in the pound for 7 days and so we would expect the owners to come and get them out.

No. 1, No. 2 and No. 4 are all still needing places.

No. 1 being the most desperate as she is due to be PTS on Wednesday
