Jackpat - Thanks for your input. Putting the cream on without getting on the surrounding fur has been a bit awkward, I am being more sparing as you advised too...........the fur did turn black but when I had to use special shampoo area this came off Strange!
It isn't that she is licking area, I know that sort of colour, I have an old Boy that does it.

Hi Sweep you could get some wide micropore tape from the chemist and make a tape 'box' around the area before applying the cream

Thats a really good suggestion Min. A great idea for keep ing the hair out of the way.
What is wrong with your dogs skin sweep? Is she on any other meds? Whats the shampoo you've been given ?

That' s okay ask away.............

Vet prescibed
Ava is on presedilone tabs, was 3 a day, now 2 a day.
Betnovate Cream to be applied twice a day on leg/foot patches.
Maxitrol ointment for the sore surround to her eye, twice a day.

Malaseb Shampoo, she had anyway, Vet said to use again daily

Have to ring Vet on Monday for chat to see how she is progressing

How old is she ? Are all her bare/sore patches symmetrical? Has the vet told you what it is?

Ava is 5yrs - Patches are not symmetrical. Do not know what it is, but it is improving.

Hi i use betnovate cream 4 my dogs eczema that he gets everytime i go on holiday, and its the best cream ive ever used, it clears it up really quickly, and leaves his skin looking like normal
