ESS Mij and a little insight into 'why'

Some of you met (or knew on Dogsey) my previous ESS Fingal 1999-2012 and some really old timers may even recall ESS Beau 1983-2006

Anyway - throw Skye and Breagh into the mix and here's a wee insight into the reason behind the naming of Mij.

And I came to a place where a ring of bright water,
Dazzled the care from my mind.
So I live with the wonder of the sky and the sea
And I'll always remember who revealed them to me

But now you are gone with your whirlpools of laughter
Racing me down to the sea
But I always smile when a ring of bright water
Echoes your laughter to me.

Just a bit of fun (and a personal thanks to Fingal and Beau) if you wanted to watch... ..

Beautiful. Great when their names mean so much. Clicked on the link, but only watched for a few seconds and memories of the film brought a lump to my throat and I am trying to drink a brew. So might watch it later.

Hi Lovely film, cried buckets,Otters seem such playful creatures,we have a place here called Stackpole Lily Ponds, and we did catch a glimpse of an otter. I love the ones in the States who lie on their backs with a stone and getting a treat out of a shell.crystalgirl

Being a great fan of Maxwells 'Ring of Bright Water' I guessed the origin of the name Phil.

I always wanted to find my own 'Camusfearna' (Sandaig) and to live there with just my dogs, I fear it is to late for me now.

That was beautiful Phil. Lovely name for your little pup after that wonderful otter. I remember the film so well and being devastated when Mij was killed. One of my all time favourite films.

It seemed even more suitable this morning as he was up to no good and all you would have heard from our house was - Mij, Mij, Mij !
