Are Tuffies worth it?

My mums asked me to look into getting her a Tuffie bed (to go in the cage) so here are a few questions for those who have tried them!

Are they worth the money?
Do you need to get the fleecy cover?
What size will fit a 30" crate?
Where is a good place to buy?

Isn't your poor mum allowed a normal bed?

Depends on your dog if they are worth it or not as they are quite hard and not as soft as a normal bed so if your dog is older or suffers from arthritus then i would not suggest this bed

Again the fleece cover depends on your dog, mine won't go near their bed unless it has a cover or some vet bed on it

Not sure on the size sorry

I bought mine direct from Tuffies

Just to add i would not buy another one and i wouldn't rate the fleece covers that they sell either as i have one for mine and already it is ripping as the material is so stretched to fit on the bed itself and its just a year old !!

I have a variety of beds in my home as i have 5 dogs , Tuffies, Fat boy, memory foam, off the ground wicker bed and even some vet bed and i gotta say the Tuffies is the last bed they all go to and in fact they would prefer the floor over it !!!!

Yes, really good, don't go lumpy or get chewed like all the other beds we've had in the past. Don't need a cover but our's quite like them with a vet bed / blanket over the the bed but don't really need it they are happy to go with out a cover.

Yes they are worth the money. I've had ours for a couple of years now and they are as good as new. In comparison, I was getting through soft fabric beds every few months as they would go flat and/or get chewed to pieces.

I did purchase the Fluffy Tuffie (the more expensive version of the fleecy cover) which was lovely and soft at first, like a high quality vet bedding, but it lost most of its 'fluffy' qualities after a few months. I would say that if your dog prefers sitting on a slightly softer surface then it might be worth getting the fleece cover.

I'm pretty sure you can only buy direct from Tuffies themselves as they are an independent company.
