It was frozen beef tripe. It wasnt green. No idea how old it is, will ask next time im there.
I think im jus shocked as to how much it stinks!!!!! Shes enjoying nibbling on a pigs ear at the moment yuck! keeps her busier for longer than a bone does.. i spose it has more taste, so i dont mind!

I had tripe chunks from Anglian meats
Gross- huge tripey yukky chunks and some had fur on ! They loved it and ate it but wont get it again as its completely vile

..we used to feed tripe (and sheeps heads..O the eyes )in kennels..the white tripe is washed and boiled green tripe..it is green because of the grass the animal has eaten. Tripe is very nutricious and the white one is easy to digest and good for sick people when poached in milk (ug yuk ) I was invited to tea once when a little girl and served tripe..I had to pretend earache to escape...
