Rolling in cow sh*t

Okay anyone got a solution to dogs rolling in cow sh*t. Sal has taken to it with a vengence. God knows what she thinks she is doing. But it stinks to high heaven. Anyone know how to stop her - if I see her I can call her away but she will disapear into bushes and come out smlling of anything but roses.

Tonights walk ended in her being dowsed in cold water from their drinking water before I could let her in the car.

mines love rolling in fox poo and eating horse poo - I think any-one that came up with a way to stop them from rolling in smelly stuff ( a humane way! ) would be very rich

Hmm I was afraid someone was going to say that. Looks like I;ll have to take a bottle full of shampoo soapy water and more water and a towel and rinse her before I let her in the car.

Good job I love her ain't it?

my irishwolfhound mollie used to do this, so in the end, we shouted when she rolled in it, Stop in a massive voice, then put on her lead and took her straight home!

in the end after about a year, when we saw the poo, we just shouted stop!!!!! and she never did again, as she knew her walk would be cut short and she had to go home!!

not the best way to train a dog, but worked for us

Jake keeps rolling in other dogs and foxes poo. Also dead birds and anything else really smelly he can find I don't know how to stop him, though I wish I did but a friend told me if you bath him in tomato juice it neutralizes the odour. Something to do with the alkaline in the juice
