Oh I've started out with the best intentions every time.

And everytime I've ended up in big debt.....

So no more credit cards for me...

I have never had a credit card and if you want anything on-line they generally take debit cards now anyway. As everyone else says there are many ways to get a good credit score without using a credit card. At the end of the day Gems it's your choice.

If I had my chance again I wouldn't get one Gems
It's all to easy to run up the debt, and intrest just gets higher if you can't pay
If you are good with money though and control yourself well, a just for emergencies card could be a good idea....just don't get too much credit on it

There is no 'temptation' to spend money I don't have.
I only spend what I can afford.
I don't have any loans etc. If I can't afford something, I simply don't buy it.
My credit card, to me, is the same as my debit card.
If I know I dont have the money in my bank, I don't put it on my credit card!

I have a card with a £400 limit in my own name.
I also have a card with a £30,000 limit, on my mums account.
Knowing I *can* spend that much if I *really* want (I don't want to!), doesn't make me go out and spend loads of money!

I have never had a a credit card & neither has my hubby.
I got married when I was 20 (been married nearly 11 years) & we've never felt the need for a credit card. I know someone who got into a whirlwind situation with credit cards & is now in debt for thousands & is only in her 20's.
we do have a debit card, which is great!

The bank wants you to have a credit card so they can make more money off you.

If you don't need one don't have one.

If your a little short and you need to fill up your car and got no cash go to one of the petrol stations that you pay at the pump like at asda don't go over £20 and you'll get your petrol every time cause it don't phone for the ok untill you go over £20.

Any type of credit you have will count towards your dcredit score, providing that you keep up the monthly payments.

A credit card is a good thing to have, providing that you can use it sensibly
