Rise And Rule Of Ancient Empires

My dad bought the above mentioned 10 year old game off eBay and it works on Windows 95 and 98 just fine but won't install on XP, are there any ways of getting round this at all?

right click the prgram icon and go to properties - then click compability.

then select windows 98.

then apply, ok and exit and run the game.

if still nto working then go back to that and tick the run in 256 colours and 640x480 boxes too and see if that works.

There might be a patch on the makers site for the game but since it's 10 years old you'll find that they have stopped supporting it.

If it won't install in xp then I dought that you'll be able to install my daughter has got some Barbie games that play well on all windows except xp even with using the Compatible mode which in most cases don't work.

Unfortunately, it doesn't install at all. It's not even on the desktop. My dad says it comes up, hears the music then goes off the computer completely.
