It was indeed called The White Horses
It was about a girl who went to stay with her uncle
who trained Lipizzaner`s.

Cant believe I found some clips with the title music, there are a few via the link below with some episode snippets too :smt041

And for anyone who wants to sing along so you are stuck with the tune in your heads for days, here are the lyrics to go with the clip :smt077

On white horses let me ride away
To my world of dreams so far away
Let me run
To the sun

To a world my heart can understand
It's a warm and gentle wonder land
Far away
Stars away

Where the clouds are made of candyfloss
As the day's born
When the stars are gone
We'll race to meet the dawn

So when I can only see the grey
Of a sad and very lonely day
That's when I
Softly sigh
On white horses
Snowy white horses
Let me ride away

This series should be re-run

The Clangers ruled tho!

Apparently I was terrified of Andy Pandy!

I'm trying not to double up on any that have already been mentioned, but I'd completly forgotten about the Raggy dolls used to love that, and all these theme tunes are brining back some lovely memories , I've just thought about some others that I used to love watching

Hong Kong Phooey
The Herbs
The Flumps
The Wombles

Well guess what else I found just for you, [ yep, searched for it specially ]

On this page in the first paragraph of text you will find a downloadable mp3 of the White Horses theme

http://www.thechestnut.com/white.htm

[ I`ve now saved it as a file on my PC via Media Player ]

Just to show how sad I am I also just downloaded the theme to Belle and Sebastien which is on there as well

For everyone wistfully thinking back to favourite childhood programs, here is the content list on the site which is well named as Little Gems :smt026

Patch you really are the bees knees. That song has been going around in my head all night and there's not much room up there as it is. I reckon in that first clip the girl must have superglue on her backside to stay on that horse.

I love how, in such a rotten world, the simplist things - in this case and old song from a childrens program - can bring such pleasure, your happy reactions have made my day too
:smt058 :smt058

I thought the same about that clip in the storm when she first mounts up, that was quite some riding
