Well I have one very challenging one and two easy ones. I like them both equally but if push came to shove life is much easier with an easy one!

Easy every time, I've come to the conclusion that dog training is not my forte

I'm happy with a challenge although there are times when I resent it, as I'm not sure Kestral is always a positive one

I would be alright having another averagely challenging dog but only in certain areas; having 2 nervous dogs would be a nightmare, as would a dog with SA for me.
I think it would have to be a challenge that with work it could be worked on and improved rather than another ongoing management case... Perhaps some would not class that as a challenge at all!

I'm the same with my Tibetan Mastiff. He's easy for me. What I would find a challenge is a dog like a GSD or a border collie. I've spent that long with dogs like chows and shar-pei, I don't think I could cope with a dog that actually wants to do what you tell them to rather than in their own time.

Though saying that, Sophie the bearcoat's seperation anxiety is proving to be a challenge and a half.

I don't mind a challenge, but I wouldn't have a "hard work" dog if I had more than one.

Saying that, my 3 year old BC is a piece of cake. He actually enjoys responding to commands Whereas my lovely docile 13 year old BC / lab cross has become more and more selectively deaf as he has got older.

Both are a lot easier when they are by themselves though.

Sometimes I long for an easy dog, but I do like a challenge and I seem drawn to them

My 2 spots are different, Cooper is easy in the house but a bit of a challenge when outside, Darcey is a challenge in the house but fine outside

That has to be a joke------I hope! If you think a sassy pup is a challenge you have a hell of a lot to learn!

Easy dog, pleeease. I would so love to walk out of my house and not be eying the horizon for other dogs, I'd love to really make the most of the fields around me by having a dog that can go off-lead with no problems, to be able to go to the park and enter it regardless of how many other dogs were in there, and to not have to assemble a detailed plan and family dogsitters every time we want to nip to the supermarket!
