MS Outlook help

Hello all you techie experts

I have Windows 7.

For the past 2-3 days, when I quit Outlook, I get a message saying "there are messages in your outbox, would you like to send them now" or something v. similar.

The thing is, there aren't any waiting to be sent - Outlook has already sent them.......

I even get the message when I've not sent any

Anyone got any ideas please?

Thanks in advance x

Thanks SB - not sure if I'm looking in the right place.....

My Outlook Icon on the right gives me four options (actions) to take (i.e. new message etc).

I am always connected.

I found a couple of Google hits from 2005 and 2009 that seemed to be requests for help for similar problems. One resulted in ... nothing. The other mentioned something called Outlook Spy which is a developer tool by the look of it. A bit hardcore, I think.

So I'd suggest that as proprietary software is supposed to be supported by the company in question, you contact Microsoft. Or, ditch Outlook and start using Thunderbird. At least you'd get better community support with TB!

I agree with Rich regarding Thunderbird - their help/support community is excellent and have twice solved problems for me and even a computer illiterate person like such as I can understand and follow their instructions!
