zoe (poodle)

my sister has lost her 1st dog today a poodle of 14 and half years.
she was fine this morning acting normal, playing just being zo.
she walking in from the kitchen to find zoe on the floor and couldn't move, eyes were rolling. she rushed her to the vets even though she knew she wouldn't be bringing her home,so she gave the kids chance to say goodbye to zoe.
they was told that part of her brain had stopped working and with the condition she was in there was nothing they could do for her so she was pts.
she is heartbroken as zoe was her little shadow.

zoe have fun over the bridge with ben,bia and emmie like you all did when you was all pups.
i'm glad you didn't suffer and was happy untill the end.
your missed already by all of us esp kerry and katie.

i think she is in shock how fast it all happened no warnings...illness.
this sounds so much like what happened with benson although he had seizures before it.
she told me she keeps looking at the spot on the floor she found her and can still see her there, but its only happened today.
with sue working full time i used to go round and feed zoe as a pup let her out etc during the day with me having louis.
she may have been a little old girl but she has left a huge gap.
its always the same you know they are getting on in years and won't be around for ever but it hits you so hard when it happens.
she has another poodle lucy who has been with zoe from a pup she is 12 this yr and as expected can't understand where zoe has gone.

God that's awful I can't imagine how she must feel.

At least Zoe will be well looked after at the Rainbow Bridge by all our dear departed pooches, until she sees her again :smt049
