Cloverfield... contains spoilers

Charlie got this for the OH's birthday so we watched it tonight.

Good points..... annoying american 20somethings got eaten, killed etc.

Bad points.... it was shot in a home video way with the OH wanting to know what camera they used that could survive all that happened to it, including a helicopter crash, being eaten etc and still be playing continuously after over 7 hours!

Unanswered questions... what was the monster, where did it come from, what happened?????

I'd wait til it was on tv and nothing better was on tbh, which is a shame as was looking forward to this.

I agree. I just had a headache at the end of it from all the jigging around of the camera and ended up thinking what a waste of two hours of my life. Keep it short, watch the trailer, then move on

We watched it today after reading several rave reviews about it.

All I can say is I thought it was total PANTS I kept on waiting for the 'good bit' all the way through, to me it was trying to be a cross between Independance Day and Starship Troopers and failing miserably.

I'd have had more fun cleaning out the bath!! Take my advice use the money to buy some ice-cream or chocolate instead, much more fun!

It was OK but I expected it to be better after all the reviews it got.
If you watch the end shot - if you are still awake lol - you will see something in the background behind the boat which answers where it came from.
