Absolutely bricking it!

well.. on saturday i stewarded my first shire horse show i absolutely loved it. i was in charge of the rope on the ring so opening and closing it, when the horses are coming into the ring and out, telling people to mind their backs as the horses come through. either way i had a brilliant time and im learning who is who now and all the horses names and who is winning what

but.. on the 11th of august we are off to manifold show, and im going to my friends on the 10th as she's working and ive been roped into helping her mum get the two mares and foals ready. i have no problem with this, i love getting them ready

im bricking it because ive got a feeling im going to be asked to go in the ring with one.. i may not but if their other handler is at work, then i may have to go in as they are all in the same classes. im so scared! i may not even be asked to handle one, but if i do, what happens if it all goes wrong?
im not fussed about being trodden on, ive already had all that, my worry is if they rear up or kick off or something and i cant keep hold of them! eeek im such a wimp!
people keep telling me im fine, but im ridiculously nervous, i know they shouldnt kick off, theyre placid and soft as anything, there's still that niggling thought in the back of my head though

Don't worry. Are the mares used to being shown. If so they will be fine and therefore so will you.

You'll have a ball and please please try to get some pics for us xx
