Just something I thought I would let you know Gill made and decorated Mum's cake for her birthday. Gill used the ready roll icing she made the flowers a couple of days before to let them dry out.

Only just remembered that two cups of coffee and my brain has woken up.

Thanks so much everyone I'm really pleased with the end result, especially as it was my first attempt at anything like this, and I did really enjoy it.

Clive is happy with it too so thats brill...I'll see how the real thing turns out and then, maybe, I can do the odd one for family and friends...especially if they have a particular interest that I can cover for them....oh now I'm getting ahead of myself xxx

My sister made one of our wedding cakes...

the icings were all a cream colour and she bought little fabric roses to decorate it with as well as edible glitter....then to cover the cake boards she used grated white chocolate....

I still have the three tier cake stand if you want to borrow it....
