We have a handful of Herdwicks (as above)

Loads and Loads of Scottish Blackface (as below)


And a handful of Wensleydales (as below)




I wouldn't say that Herdwicks make particularly good pets unless you have a really, really well fenced garden as they are escapologists.

You are just a little late for looking for a pet sheep ... there will no doubt be farms up and down the country at lambing time who would be more than happy to let you have a couple of pet lambs who have lost their mothers or been rejected. You then hand-feed the lambs and they are like little dogs after that

oooh they are all gorg Moobli

i am in no hurry to get a couple so will keep my ears and eyes open
we have quite a few farms by us so will let the farmers know i am looking for a couple

or i could always move to Scotland and have my own herds (i wished)

I had a friend with Jacobs they were always so unco-operative and never wanted to go anywhere you wanted them too and yes some of them were on "an escape committee"
have to admit Herdwicks do have the "AHHHHH" factor.
