nice walk.........

went to forest with my 4 month b terrier pup yesterday with my 7 yr old springer. great walk recall was brillant and not too much barking at other dogs. took a couple of balls for them to play with and my son we all had a good time. on the way back i say a puppy that they were trying to train on a longline to come to each other. went over to say hello she immediatly picked her up. i said lola will be fine shes on a lead and to let them sniff and say hello to each other she didnt let her down i asked how old she was and she said just 10 weeks. i wondered if she had had all her jabs didnt ask just left them. turned round and pup was back on the ground. the forest is full of other dogs plus ponies that arent always wormed . i just hoped she was jabbed or else you dont know what she may pick up!

Hmm she obviously thought it was ok to let the pup down on the ground as long as he didn't actually come in contact with another dog. Hope he'll be ok too.

Ten weeks old sounds far too young to be on a forest walk to me. Even if it does have it's jabs up to date, a pup that young shouldn't be on a proper walk yet!

Glad you enjoyed your walk.

Shame about the pup though, it doesn't sound like the owners have a clue.
