I can back with.....

Nose strips
Nasal spray
Throat spray (although I think I'm a nose snorer)

I did see one of those rings but at 30 bucks I thought I'd try the cheaper alternatives first

Weight isn't a factor griff. Did my annual weigh in today while I was boots and whilst heaviest I've been for a while I could still do with a bit more meat on me to keep the cold out

Boyf said its weird as I can be snoring like a hippocrocapig and he only has to nudge me very slightly or whisper to me and I'm instantly awake. Like I'm only pretending to be asleep? Obviously I'm not

I shall report back tomorrow!

The things from AliExpress are only ¢78 with free postage worldwide.

The only problem is that delivery can take up to four weeks or more!

Oops! I thought it was HIM who was snoring. Mis-read the OP a tad. I hope what you bought works. Good luck! BTW, sleep apnea is not only for fat people. My dad isn't and wasn't fat and had a wicked bad case of it.

Didn,t say sleep apnoea was only for overweight people, just pointed out my mums issue
Dobermonkey, have you tried the thing where you sew the tennis ball on to a tshirt and sleep in it? Nice and cheap to try although maybe a tad uncomfortable. Keep an eye on boots as they do put the rings in the sale, might be worth checking if Superdrug have them as they can be a bit cheaper than boots sometimes.
if the snoring continues, pop along to the gp and see if they can come up with something

Didn't say you said it was only for fat people. Only pointed out that it wasn't since you asked about weight, which Imo kinda implied it.

Well

not sure whether it was a combination of the 3 or which bit it was (prob the nose strip) but i can report back that there was only one instance of 'heavy breathing but it didnt turn into a snore' i checked my fitbit app this morning (wristband synced with ipad) and i only had 2 instances of restlessness (which i think was when i snoozed my alarm twice ) this was compared to be about 10 x being awake and 20 odd x restlessness on previous nights!!

hurray! will still keep an eye out for the rings being on sale though as falling asleep holding your own pinky pressure points aint easy!

I don't have any problems with somebody's snoring. I could sleep very peacefully even though somebody besides me snored very violently.
