Thrush remedies?

Anyone got any magic cure for oral thrush?
My tongue is so red and sore, I presume from all the antibiotics I have had over the last 2 weeks.

I used to be relied upon to get a dose of it whenever I had to take ABs in the past but not for decades now.

You get medicine for it same as you do for getting it anywhere else. Oral thrush is not contagious.

Have you got a duty chemist nearby? With thrush the sooner you start taking something the better. And it is a very SORE condition.

Here have a read up on the NHS site

http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/Oral-th...roduction.aspx

Make sure you aren't pregnant before taking anything

Would natural yoghurt work I have heard it said it works for the nether regions if you have thrush. Haven't tried it personally as not needed too thank goodness.

I have had oral thrush a number of times due to my medication and find natural yogurt helps, it is very soothing.

It needs to be live yogurt .

Yoghurt can help but if you are very sore you need the meds. You can get bio yoghurt drinks which are good (you can swill it about!)

My view is that bio yoghurt is a bigger help if you start taking it at the same time as the meds and BEFORE the candida sets in to promote healthy bug growth. You now need something to clear it as quickly as possible.
