Longest lasting kong filling

Well it seems here to be frozen yoghurt - they have been licking for 45 minutes so far with no sign of finishing !

What do you put in yours for a long lasting treat ?

Good ideas! We will have to rummage through the hedges in our back garden and search for our dogs kong.

Buy one! They are great!

I used to get half a slice of bread, squish it flat, spread a little marmite on, roll it up and stick it inside the kong. Used to keep him happy for ages!

Also used peanut butter, yoghurt, cheese, primula etc

He's on a limited diet now so I've got some fish4dogs salmon mousse and I use that mixed with some fish treats and I usually bung up the hole with carrot.

I put pate in Rubys with a few doggie choc drops broken up.

How much do you put in your kongs?

I only spread a thin layer round the sides, i give Ruby hers when i leave her, i know it doesnt last long but it keeps her occupied for the initial realisation that i have left!

Oh they are! But be warned, it's usually best to have more than one: the size recommended for the breed (for play and recreational use) you have PLUS the biggest one you can get (for stuffing) - maybe two of the latter if you are going to be using them on a daily basis, so you have one in the freezer and one in use, or one for the morning and one for night.

They may not be the cheapest things around but are (usually) very long-lasting, depending on what breed you have.

Oh and a Kong Wubba should be on your dog's wish-list too - great fun, probably the best tug-toy ever.
