My daughter is reading the book at the moment for the second time - she loves it! I had no idea it was being made into a film.

It was the panto piece at Olympia at Christmas, don't know if anyone saw it? I'd really wanted to go but have now changed my mind. The puppetry was amazing and reallly a sight to see. The section they acted out though I found very disturbing. They wrapped the poor horses legs in barbed wire and brought him to his knees by spinning him round. That I could cope with but the screaming coming from the horse was so realistic,I can still hear it know, I ended up putting my hands over my ears. I can't imagine how young children felt seeing it. I am a big wimp though which is definately worth bearing in mind.

My OH has suggested that we go to the cinema this evening. Has anyone been to see War Horse yet? Is it worth watching? I've seen many mixed reviews. Oh, and will I need tissues?

I wanted to go this week-end, but then we thought about it and decided to wait until the DVD comes out so we can watch it in jim jams with the Kleenex on our lap.

Oh you must go, it's a brilliant film apparently, but I doubt any of us have seen it yet as it's only being released today! Go early, you might not get in!!!! Enjoy!!!

I read the book on holiday and thank god for having sunglasses to hide my tears!

Am hoping to go and see the film soon when the hype has died down a bit and it's not so busy.
