My Mastiff always sits on my feet (much to the consternation of the local trainer who keeps trying, in vain, to make him sit at my side). He also stands sideways in front of me and leans against my legs when I'm cooking - with his size it's quite a muscle work-out keeping on your feet! lol

As for laying down, given half a chance he's up on the bed, between me and the other half on his side with his head on our pillows. Many's a night I've been woken up by deafening snoring and found reverberating jowls in my face.

They say that if your dog has a "serviant" line in the genes, they do this to keep your feet warm. Don't know facts, just was told by some I believed. 😁

phoebe leans on me or lies over me. not so comfortable as she weighs about 9 stone. but she will lie inbetween my legs with her head on my tummy. thats our favorite cuddling position
