Horrible video
What an amazing dog tho, goes tru all that and still keeps on working, I really wish someone decent would take the dog out of that guys hands and show him how he could really shine when trained with kindness

Just to balance things out - here is how happy dogs can be training

I am not worried at all, after all everyone is entitled to an opinion, informed or not

Who knows maybe I will start writing posts on the how all the Boxers I meet are so out of control, have poor temperaments, suffer from heart problems and fall over in the hot weather which must mean that this breed attracts a lot of idiots.

Pigs might fly.

There are good and bad examples in all people, animals, breeds, disciplines.

You can choose to focus on the positive, or the negative and this is usually reflected in your life and your dogs IME.

Here is another picture of a happy dog being trained with Ismael de Vos who is holding, wait for it, a clicker in his hand!

Ismael is not short of testosterone, neither is my dog.

God that video makes me feel ill. What logic is there in whipping a dog every time it moves? sick.

P.S.... seems someone was doing a bit of undercover work.
I agree. A bit like that Leerberg bloke that hangs "dominant" dogs from trees until they pass out to "show them who is boss".

Anybody see the article they had on English Setters ini Countrylife on August 29th?

It featured the photo of the gundog trainer with all his setters on Prong/pinch collars.

I guess that is because gundogs and English Setter attract a certain sort of macho man who needs a penis extension?

Not quite comparable to whipping and kicking a dog every time it moves.

Ah, I see so there are degrees of abuse then...........

What about the gundog trainers who use ecollars then, and also whip and kick their dogs?

Is that comparable?
