Loudest bark....Deepest bark...

Has anyone tested which breed has on average the loudest bark ??

Would you take more notice of a deep bark or loud bark ...??

My 2 had a grumble one night a few years ago walking up a dark alley there were 2 teenage lads at the other end. When we got out ,they wouldn't come up they said "F~~~ing hell thought they were rotties" ! So a pair of beagles on a dark night can sound threatening . Deepest bark i have come accross is my sister in laws dally x lab and the trailhound we fostered they made the concrete vibrate they were so deep. I would take notice of any bark that sounded threatening big or small !

My German Shorthaired Pointers had and have an immense bark - they are very deep chested. They are definitely louder than the GSDs.

Bailey's got the deepest bark I think I've ever heard and it echoes around the house Especially when Bri's alarm goes off in the morning and it's breakfast time

We bought some of them stick on window alarms but we've had to turn em all off cos everytime Bailey barks it sets em all off

Khal starts barking & omg he scares me when he barks...very loud, very deep.

Rubys bark is quite weird cos its like she doesn't know weather to or not...

On the other hand I've only heard Sasi barking once & that was at a fella on the beach...the other 2 bark & she runs in the house & hides behind whatever she can find

Believe it or not Chloe my 9.5 pound Tibetan Spaniel has a surprisingly deep bark for a pint size dog.

She makes me laugh because if she hears a strange noise in the middle of the night she'll leap off my bed, rush into the lounge, wake up my Pei, (who hasn't heard a thing 'cos she's snoring so loudly) then plant herself at the front door growling and barking.

I don't know what she'd do if someone broke in through the front door .... maybe bite their ankles???
