Mylo - 4 year old male Patterdale X

Mylo, Patterdale X, DOB 2008 – Richmond, Surrey

Homing Requirements: Mylo is instinctively nervous and needs a dog experienced, understanding family with a settled life without too many comings and goings. Mylo is sensitive to sound and movement. Mylo needs be accepted as is, his nervous nature has stemmed from his early months. Mylo forms affectionate bonds with people. Mylo would benefit being around a confident other dog. Mylo needs his own space and can be left.

Video: Mylo, filmed in first week in foster (Initial nerves ref camera) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ug03U...ature=youtu.be

His Story: Mylo was rescue by his family just before Xmas 2009 from a rescue centre as a young, very nervous terrier. He moved in with children aged 8 and 11 years old at the time. Mylo is sensitive in his make-up and settled over time but on rare occasions he has snapped (the air) at strangers who have been too bold or 'delivering post’! Too nervous for a busy family life, Mylo has come into rescue. Fostered in Richmond, Surrey.

Advert: Mylo is sweet, timid and lovingly affectionate. Reserved by nature, he needs to build trust and naturally draws patience from people, then settles and likes to be close. Mylo used to go to work with his owner for a year, sitting under the desk but did become a little protective of 'legs' coming towards the desk'. Then left at home, happy in his own company, ruthlessly house trained, delighting in his family's arrival home. Mylo is an "off lead" dog in a secure exercise area. He doesn't chase, has never run off, and mixes well with dogs he meets.

Mylo is a Black Patterdale with white bib with a badger strip on his nose. Overweight due his inactive instincts to sit and watch when at home. His typical refuge is under a table if startled. Delights in his walks and can be left so would suit a person who works. He needs a less busy home, without lots of visitors. Mylo needs to be accepted as having a nervous temperament and be loved for it. Despite his nerves he has never bitten, he is naturally protected and respected i.e. not pushed beyond his comfort zone. Mylo's instinct is to befriend and give little licks.
