A DOG OWNER has handed over £25,000 for the safe return of his pet after it was stolen by kidnappers. The ransom, for an English bull terrier and former Crufts finalist, is thought to be the highest paid for a dog.

The crime is one of a growing number reported across Britain as “dog-napping” becomes an increasingly common way of extorting cash.

Isn't it disgraceful that there are scum like that out there who will utilize an owners love and concern for the welfare of their pet and turn it into profit.
