hey, hey, it's not just chicken !! went in today and the past-the-sell-by date shelves were full. this happened at this time last year. it's the local holidays in our area and the produce is'nt selling, everyones on their hols. everything was half price, steaks, chicken dishes, veg, pizzas, get on down there, you can freeze what you can't use immediately.

i was in tesco's again this morning at 7am. got another 4 chickens, total weight = 19.3 lbs, i paid £7.46 for them, that woks out at 39p per lb. as tesco's say, "every little helps".
