I have tried a few different models, but have always suffered from interference, i think the cordless phones and wireless internet causes a hissing on the sound and lines shooting through the picture, gave up in the end.

they dont work with sky HD, well mine didnt, but before HD it wasnt that good but then i suppose 2ft thick wall dont help

its cheaper in the long run to have freeview in another room.

we wanted multiroom and when they came to fit it the engineers wanted a phone line next to the box (which we wer'nt told about ) another extra cost, so we didnt bother.

That's what they told us too, having another phone point,we don't need one we have cordless phones

We do have a free view box just no outside ariel, but Luke has one of those digital ariels and that works well with his,so am thinking of trying his ariel out and if it works buying one of those instead

the sky box has to be plugged into the phone line (some weird thing in the contract????) and if there isnt one in the other room you have to get one before they can install it all.

at this point OH phoned sky and told them to shove it where the sun dont shine as it was their fault they didnt inform us first.

if you do get an ariel outside a word of caution.......dont be fooled into a digital ariel, they dont exist but some cowboys are charging the unsuspecting public £100's. you only need a bog standard one.

You are absolutely right, there is no such thing as a 'digital aerial'

All aerials will pick up the signal that they are designed for (Meaning that part of the radio spectrum)

Whether that signal is 'digital' or 'analogue' has absolutely nothing to do with it
