Affix?

Could someone tell me what it means when the Kennel Club grant you an Affix?

Oh err! Well you think of a name, well you have to think of at least 3 names that you would like to use as your affix. You then fill in the KC form and send it to them, they then look on their computer to see if anyone has one like it, if they don't they then publish the name and ask if someone has any objections to your being granted the name. If no one has you are granted the name for which you have to pay both for the original work and then every year if you wish to keep the name and stop anyone else using it.

Just incase you aren't sure...an affix is the name by which all your dogs are conected to you.If your affix is BLOGGS' for example all you dogs willl have BLOGGS in their name somewhere.If you breed a litter your pups will be called BLOGGS ONE,BLOGGS TWO etc and if you buy in a pup tou add your affix to the end as in MY BOY AT BLOGGS.
