Hope it was just the result of the injection.

Same here (or that it's just the microchip) and glad you are taking him to the vet to find out. Do let us know.

Tuesday morning I discovered a lump the size of a small grape between Blues shoulders. I posted what I found on Dogsey to see if any one had any ideas what it could be.
I took Blue to the vet today and they injected the lump, taken some fluid off it and then revealed it was nothing serious (thank the lord!) but was inflamed so he came to the conclusion he had either been bitten by a insect, banged himself on something or had a late reaction to a vaccine. Blue is now on a course of antibiotics to reduce the inflammation and prevent any infection that could arise.

What a relief! I am sure that the lump will go down in due course, and at least you no longer have the worry that it might be something serious.

It is always, always good to have a lump checked! So many of them are nothing (cyst, fatty lump, mudball (seriously)) but there's no vet on earth who would fault you for being careful. I hope all goes well!

The vet said it could take up to two weeks to completely go, thank you for all the kind messages!
