Without a doubt it has to be Bruce.Bayley shoud have stuck with Wolfsbane and Di Anno was ok but his vocal range was never in the class of Dickinson who i loved in his Samson days too.

Have to agree. Bruce will always be the voice of Maiden although (now) more than then I love 'Iron Maiden' and 'Killers'. Somehow the Di'Anno stuff has lasted the test of time.

Only ever saw Maiden with Bruce although later on I did see them at the Manchester Apollo in about 1990 (ish) during the No Prayer for the Dying tour when Wolfsbane (with Blaze Bayley) actually supported them.

As for Samson with Bruce - Do you remember a track called Earth Mother ?

You grabbed me and whipped me and stretched me
Raw lines were crossed on my back
Teasing and taunting me, twisting my words
Eyes turning red fade to black
Earth Mother, help me
Bury me down there
Earth Mother, can't you see
Suck my breath of air
Snake like you kissed me and chained me
Treachery barred my escape
Surrender to destiny, death for all time
Eternal light, losing faith

Great song Phil. :smt001

Bruce Dickinson, everytime. I went to see them when they did the Maiden England Tour (gosh possibly showing my age now)..Great vocalist but couldn't believe how teeny he was! What a big voice from such a small man!
