OMG ! They are lovely ! What do you feed them on, and how big do they grow? Always used to hear stories of them growing HUGE ! !

Kyektulu: Keep nagging that hubby of yours

Doggydina: Dougal should grow to be 7-9 inches if hes a boy and 10-12 inches if a female! [when they are tiny hatchlings you cant sex them very well so I just guessed he was a boy! lol] They can grow really big depending on the breed [there are hundreds] but Dougal shouldnt get too huge!
I feed him on dry turtle food and also fresh prawns and some green veg. I give him tiny pieces of steak if I happen to be having it too!

I want to get another one now so Im waiting to see what Santa brings me

Tortoises are lovely too but they really do live a long time!
My uncle has got 2 and has had them as long as Ive been alive [23years in January] and a good few years before that, they were owned by somebody else before him aswell so they are getting on a bit!
One of my friends also has a tortoise and I think it was owned by her great grandma before being passed onto them!
