Raw fed....Sick puppy.

Sasha is 4.5 months old and she has been vomiting since I got home at around 2.20pm yesterday. She has been vomiting every couple of hours until around 8pm. She would not eat any of her lunch and none of her tea. She was a little constipated yesterday morning. She has been on a full raw diet for about 3 weeks now. She was not sick during the night but this morning she refuses to eat or drink anything. Although she went for a 15min walk at 5.30am. I think I may have gave her too much bone in her diet although I know that it is 80% meat, 10% bone and 10% offal, it is hard to judge.
Any Ideas please?

Get her to the vet, she may have a bug and vomiting quickly dehydrates a young puppy.

Will she drink?

I always keep electrolytes in my FA box, eg Lectade from the vet.

The following are also useful

Live Yoghurt
Tree Bark Powder/Slippery Elm from Dorwest/Hilton Herbs
Yumpro bioactive (pills for daily use)
Yumpro biactive plus (powder for illness)

Both the above are pre and probiotics with some other things in the latter

Manuka Honey

Has she toileted?

Please let us know how you get on.

Good luck x

I think you need a vet with one so young, it's just not worth the risk, they can go downhill so quickly. good luck, hope she's ok once you've seen the vet.

Vet asap.

So much vomiting in a dog so young rings alarm bells.

Whether it's bug or blockage, it needs sorting and fast.

Good luck and let us know how she gets on x

Went to the vets this morning and they said It could be something that she has eaten or a blockage. They have given her two injections, one to bring down her temperature as it is a little high and the other is an antibiotic injections and some antibiotics to bring home to start tomorrow. They said that if she gets worse in the next 24 hrs to take her straight back for an xray. I am still concerned that she is not drinking any water, I have been putting drops in her mouth with a little droplet but it is a fight. They told me to boil some chicken and some rice to feed her with but if she will not drink then I doubt that she will eat anything. It is cooking now. Thanks everyone.x

No wonder you are so worried if she is not drinking
I was hoping for some much better news.
Hopefully she will feel better after the injections, keep us informed, please

When the injections kick in she will probably feel more like it.
Good luck
