Dougal and the bug.

So this evening I was standing doing the dishes when I heard Dougal schnorking. Looked round to see what he was at and saw him sniffing and jumping back...sniffing and jumping back..thought, ach it's just a spider. Had a look anyway..

It was an earwig...innocently crawling along the floor, Dougal was most disconcerted...he had no idea what to make of it, he was fascinated, I'm guessing when he got close to it, it would lift it's tail up which has pointy bits...it got to the stage where Dougal was so worried he woofed at it!

Dunno what he thought that was going to do, anyway, I picked up the poor thing and put it outside. It may now be deaf too.

Dexter tries to eat any bugs he finds. I think I prefer your dog's response

Pereg sometimes brings in 'orrid bugs to "play" with. I always know when she has got one as she rushes in, leaps on the couch, and when I look at her she is always hiding it under front paws looking oh so innocent.

Well I gotta say you are very brave Lore, I'm afraid the bug would have had to take it's chances in this house.

He he he!! Bless him. Our phillip is obsessed with bees. Its only a matter of time before he is stung. We get quite a few in our garden and i have to tell him firmly to LEAVE or he tries to punce on them or snap at them
