May be the tendon is damaged and inflamed not torn, best to ask the vet for more detail as soft tissue injury takes as long as broken bones to heal so if she needs an op the sooner the better.

yeah spoke to vet at lengh about it, its partly torn he explained it as a frayed roped and thats why she had a limp for a few day before it finally went, it will take months to heal unfortunatly but she will get her cast changed every week. she now has sore patches on her good leg as she has rubbed it on the carpet when getting up so tried to put vaseline on it. to top it all off she has multiple cystes on her body, the one on her kneck bled heavily while she was at vets, the vet had said she may have to operated on to remove it if it didnt stop bleeding but he was reluctant to do this because of her age and what she is already going through. thankfully its stopped and just keeping it clean etc. just seems everything is happenning to her at once and there nothing we can do about it. when the vet did her xray he also picked up severe arthritis in all her joints including toes!!!!! our metz has suddenly turned old

Poor Metz, she is really going through the mill at the moment huh?

I hope she feels better soon. It is so difficult to see them in pain, we feel so helpless when it happens don't we?

thought i would let u know how metz is getting on, she had to have an op on her kneck as she had a cyst that wouldnt stop bleeding. her leg is sore from the trips to the vets but she is going back in another 8 days for redress and stitches out. poor wee soul has been through so much, i just wish it would stop to be honest for her sake.
