Oh, hun! I really feel for you. I agree that you need to get out of there, but I completely understand that you're stuck on options. If we'd had a bit more room (or a few less animals!), you and Icon would have been welcome to stay here until you got yourself sorted. I do think that you should seriously consider some of the offers the lovely people here have made you. Life is too short to be unhappy.
My OH got involved with his ex whilst at uni. He always intended it to be a short term thing, but ten years later was still struggling to find a way to end it. They lived together, but barely spoke to each other. He started to think of the relationship as some kind of prison sentence and had simply "accepted" that all he had left was getting married and having kids , because that was what she wanted.
No one deserves to be stuck in an unhappy relationship, and you deserve better than unhappiness in your life.
I really hope that you and Icon can get away and start with a fresh slate.

You could do dog sitting with Icon and travel round all us Dogsey members.

I'm sorry for you hun - this smarts of mental abuse and you deserve better. She shouldn't treat you like that - or Icon! - and I feel you would be better off moving on, although I understand how hard it would be. Something to think about and plan for though, maybe?

It got worse today, I went for lunch with my family, and had a nice morning, then I came back and she gave me a hug and said she was sorry, within 5 mins, (i went and got changed to walk icon and walked back downstairs) she went nuts, literally, went to hit icon with a coat hanger, now she's being ok again, but i'm walking on egg shells. I just want her to at least let me and the lil man stay until I can get a job and some money saved to rent somewhere...

Oh Lorna I agree, it sounds like mental abuse and isn't fair on you or Icon.

I would love to offer you a place to stay but in all honesty I couldn't because .... my children would love Icon so much, they would want the other 100 to come and stay too :smt042 and I fear they would never let you leave

I do hope you get someting sorted though and sooner rather than later
