Have you seen those Great Danes I tell you it would have been a bloodbath if he "Dillon" had attacked a Terrier of some sort - especially a EBT or Staff Good Lord and he pulled his owner over she didn't stand a chance.

Thanks Helen - I'd have missed it if I hadn't seen your post.
Did you see her getting dragged on her bum???
That was a good one to watch!

Sorry, even though Victoria got results, I am riled up.

Victoria decided to control the Great Dane and thought a Halti headcollar would be a good idea.
She didn't attatch another lead to it's collar, and/either attatch the halti to the collar.

That is a HEAVY dog - about 10 stone, maybe more?
It was jumping about, pulling, running - 1 pull the wrong way would have broken that dogs neck.

I am shocked, as generally I think Victoria is quite good, and explains things to the owners etc.....but honestly...all I could comment on tonight was walking such a heavy, strong, excitable dog - only controlling it by it's head.

Any one else shocked at all?

I too noticed that she didnt have another lead attached to the collar Heather cause normally she does.Perhaps it was an oversight on her behalf or she may have thought it not necessary???

Still felt sorry for Jilly Cooper being dragged about though!

Weather it is necessary or not.....that dog was lunging loads, and it was strong - to not have any sort of back up on a halti (which are easy to get out of), on a dog that is unpredictable with other dogs, and so strong (they didn't know what he would be like), is bad!!

I caught the end of this too. That dog made some very funny noises, poor thing. Didn't that labrador look terrified and tiny next to him?! Aww. I love big dogs.

I don't know much about those collars but I did think it looked a bit unsafe as I was watching it.
